BTS Behind The Scenes of the SS GREAT BRITAIN PHOTO SHOOT
SS GREAT BRITAIN PHOTO SHOOT MAY 2018 BRISTOL
What a first for me, I have done lots of photo shoots but never ever had I done one on a boat, let alone on the SS Great Britain in Bristol. So when I was approached I jumped at the chance to be a part of this.
The photo shoot was organised by the wonderful photographer Lesley Mayfield who is a document wedding photographer at www.lesleymayfieldphotography.co.uk
Other suppliers involved
-MUA Sarah from www.hepcatsofnam.co.uk
Lace boots - www.houseofelliotlaceboots.co.uk
Venue - SS GREAT BRITAIN
Flowers - Lucy Coco
Model - Bethany Allis
Model - Savannah Betts
Hair accessories - starboxjewellery
Hair accessories - Gemmasangwine
Dresses - Atelier19chelt
The whole idea of the shoot was to get pictures for SS Great Britain to use on their website and of course suppliers would benefit as well.
The theme was - VICTORIAN
MODELS AND THEIR HAIR
I went for a super low key look for Savannahs hair using donut padding to add thickness as she has very fine hair. The dress itself stunning as it is sat quite high at the neck which made me want to keep all the hair up. Still I kept it quite classy with the twirl at the back of the hair.
With Bethany I went with a classic victorian look and settled for ringlets. Done using chopstick curlers an pinned back. I used an amazing one of a kind headpiece from Gemma Sangwine who is based in Stroud.
The little details
sigh* The veils, and boy they are gorgeous. This is all from Atelier19Chelt a boutique shop based in the Suffolks, Cheltenham.
FLOWERS
We managed to get really lucky both with the gorgeous weather on the day and the amount of locations we managed to shoot at.
If you haven't visited the SS Great Britain I really recommend that you do, and if you are planning on getting married and have yet to source a venue I really insist you go and visit this place!
Bon Voyage,
Lauren
